7 Week Smoking Cessation Programme 

This week saw the start of our 7 week smoking cessation programme in GHIS, this is running in conjunction with our Healthy Lifestyle Programme.

We are using a number of methods to help Quit smoking for good.

Support: We have created a small smoking cessation group so that we have the daily support of one another to keep us going.

Creating a new routine: Replacing our usual cigarette with a new activity.

Being Active: 10,000 Daily Step Challenge. We are aware of the Health implications of smoking and want to become more active throughout our daily lives. We are aiming to achieve our step challenge goals by making small changes throughout our day.

Healthy Eating: Through our QQI Health & Fitness module we are looking at healthy foods &  super foods and what nutritional benefits they can offer us.
